Beyond 20/20 Vista Release 3.0 Now Available
Effective January 31, 2006, Beyond 20/20 is pleased to announce the release of Vista 3.0. The highlight of this release is a significantly enhanced user interface that focuses on ease-of-use.
With new intuitive dimension manipulation functionality and a collapsible dimension selection menu, users get compelling customized tables and charts in seconds. Ranking and highlighting on items of interest can now be performed quickly and easily - without losing display of the data. The new user interface also supports the inclusion of custom banners or links on the top, bottom or sides of the Vista interface.
In addition, Vista 3.0 includes the following enhancements:
- Support for Firefox Browser - Vista 3.0 is fully functional by those using Mozilla Firefox.
- Enhancements to Saved Reports - Whenever possible, saved reports survive an upgrade or change to the underlying cube structure. Drillthrough report changes are also now saved as part of the overall saved report definition.
- Report Folders - Publishers can now present reports in a folder system by topic in addition to by data source. The reports folder page also includes a title search.
- Spawned Windows for Help - The option to spawn help in a new window allows users to access help while still viewing their data. Help can also be presented in frames for easier navigation and searching or in plain HTML format.
- Upgraded Charting - A move to the latest Dundas charting technology results in enhanced performance as well as the following additional chart types - fast line, stacked area and point charts.
- Enhanced Printing - A printable version with set-up options is now available. Printing now results in multipage reports for larger selections.
- Optional Export to .cub Files - From the report folder page, users can export any slice of the data to .cub files for use with Excel or Vista . Exporting to Vista format includes any relevant metadata.
- Report Navigation and Pagination - Users have increased flexibility as to number of rows and columns per viewable page. New options within the table view allow a user to jump to the end of a table or to a particular column or row.
- Download Options - Download options can now be chosen individually by download type (i.e. XLS, CSV) and also include an ExcelXML option that allows XML format to be loaded into Excel. (Requires Excel 2003.)
