The Institut de la statistique du Québec Selects Beyond 20/20
Statistique Québec will use Beyond 20/20
Browser for its Québec Trade Statistics Project on CD-ROM. Adoption of Beyond 20/20 in the state- and provincial-level statistical community continues.
Ottawa, Canada – May 04, 1999 – Ivation Datasystems Inc. announced today that the Institut de la statistique du Québec has chosen Beyond 20/20 as the data browser for its new Québec Trade Statistics Project on CD-ROM. The Institut is the premier statistical agency in Québec. Its new information product will be used extensively as an internal data dissemination tool and will be distributed externally to a few hundred users.
"This agreement is very important because it extends Beyond 20/20's market share in the Canadian provinces to 60%," says Jean Carr, Ivation's Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "Ivation is seeing a growth in the state- and provincial-level government market because Beyond 20/20 is a very cost-effective tool for statistical data tabulation and dissemination."
Since the Institut is disseminating vast amounts of trade data, both internally and externally, on its new CD-ROM, it needed a data browsing tool that would make it very simple for users to extract, view, and manipulate multidimensional data. Beyond 20/20 was selected because it is an affordable, easy-to-use, yet powerful data browser that allows users to "slice and dice" their data, perform calculations and imputation functions, chart and map data, view metadata, and easily view data in multiple dimensions.
