More Technical Breakthroughs…
With Beyond 20/20's Data Connection Wizard, you can easily access and prepare your data from a variety of formats including relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, as well as spreadsheets and text files. Data Connection Wizard produces files that can be viewed on the Web or desktop with Beyond 20/20 products.
With Data Connection Wizard, you can be up and running in just minutes - with no product training necessary!
The Data Connection Wizard Release Candidate will be available on October 5th, 2001.

Beyond 20/20 is planning a commercial release of Publisher’s Edition version 6.0 on October 4th, 2001. The Publisher’s Edition includes the Beyond 20/20 Visual Builder, Professional Browser and Publication Browser.
Version 6.0 includes a host of exciting new features including the Tools menu. This feature will allow information publishers to add value to their data by including customized functions for their users. This represents a significant step forward in functionality.
Summary of New features in Publisher’s Edition 6.0:
- Group Indication and Drill Down - Better group indication and navigation lead to better usability of your data. Groups are now indicated in bold with black underline. Users can drill into the data with a single click and drill back (return to last view) or drill up to the parent level. A black arrow in the dimension header allows you to easily drill back to the previous view.
- Customizable Tools - Now in conjunction with the Beyond 20/20 Toolkit, offer your Browser end-users additional functionality, such as specialized calculations. Build your custom application and add it to the new Tools menu. End users can select data and then easily invoke the new tool. Contact our Services group about programming custom applications.
- Enhanced User Interface - New summary icons clearly indicates important metadata. With a single-click users can better understand the data they are viewing. Cropped header indicators are also featured for column and row header.
- Open Dialog Boxes - Windows Explorer style "Open" and "File save as" dialogs simplify the navigation, organization and accessing of your IVT files. Now quickly access your files, create new folders and view files as a list or view details when selecting tables.
- File Find Dialog Box - File name, type and title fields can now be widened or narrowed for better viewing.
- HTML Summary Writer - Use the optional HTML summary editor to easily create, edit and format summaries. Improve the look of your metadata by choosing font type, size and colour and add links and tables to your summaries.
- IE Summary Viewer - Now view File, Dimension, and Item summaries in a standardized MS Internet Explorer viewer.
- Improved Charting - Charting now supports missing values and differentiates between missing values and zeros.
Service Pack 1 adds support for a few types of Horizontal Bar charts to the WDS, and added support for Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 6.0. The Service Pack will be available for download from the Support section of our Web site, www.beyond2020.com on October 1st, 2001.

Beyond 20/20 Continues to Grow
Beyond 20/20 Inc. has increased its staff in the past few months with the addition of experienced employees in Technical Support, Quality Assurance and Development as well as its Marketing and Sales departments.

Tip of the Month
Did you know that when viewing multiple charts in Beyond 20/20’s Web Data Server, you can enlarge the chart of your choice by clicking on it? A full screen image of the graph is then displayed providing you with more details.
