Beyond 20/20's Exciting New Clients and Contracts

Health Canada
Health Canada has recently purchased Beyond 20/20's Web Data Server product to make Beyond 20/20 tables available to Data and Information System (DAIS) clients.

DAIS provides desktop access to thousands of data items and questions from key health, social and economic surveys and databases, with associated tables, reports and indicators.

DAIS is installed on hundreds of workstations across the Department, where it delivers raw data for custom analysis, along with published reports and tables, using locally installed statistical analysis tools and viewers.

Currently users download the file directly to their desktop where it is opened in Beyond 20/20's Browser. Making these tables available via the Web Data Server removes the need for additional software on the user's desktop, and makes data available to anyone with an Internet connection. By migrating the existing Beyond 20/20 desktop solution to the Beyond 20/20 Web solution, Health Canada will provide its data to a larger audience.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) has recently purchased Beyond 20/20's Web Data Server and Visual Builder to disseminate the data from their product Housing in Canada (HIC). With Beyond 20/20, HIC can be used as a tool to make informed decisions, develop policies and programs, and plan.

HIC is an electronic database of comprehensive information on households and housing conditions, from the national to the community level. Derived from special tabulations of census data obtained from Statistics Canada, HIC links key demographic and socio-economic data to detailed assessments of housing adequacy, suitability, affordability and housing need, all measured using CMHC's recognized housing indicators.

Through Beyond 20/20, HIC provides you with the ability to track and address housing conditions and needs, and to look at how housing conditions have changed between 1991 and 1996.

Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada
The Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada purchased Beyond 20/20's Web Data Server to disseminate their employment statistics of the federal public service to the public. This will contain information on the employment within the federal public service from early 1980 to March 2003. The information includes statistics on items such as department, sex, employment equity, and occupation category.

The site is currently under development and should be available to the public sometime during 2003-2004. It will be mostly used for human resources planning, as well as different workforce studies.

National Assembly for Wales
The Statistical Directorate of the National Assembly for Wales will be using Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server to publish statistics on the Internet.

The National Assembly's Statistical Directorate provides support for decision-making, resource allocation, research and debate within government and the wider community by collecting, processing, interpreting and publishing statistics. Its services cover all the main areas of the Assembly's responsibilities including health, social services, the economy, employment, training, education, housing, transport, and the environment.

Forvus, Beyond 20/20's partner in the UK is developing and hosting a managed Web service, due to start in May 2003. The service will be available in both English and Welsh and will be used by Assembly staff and members of the public.

Scottish Enterprise
Scottish Enterprise is Scotland's main economic development agency. Future skills Scotland, an applied labour market research unit, was established by Scottish Enterprise in November 2002 in order to provide easily accessible labour market intelligence to businesses and the community.

They will be using Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server to present survey data related to the labour market via the Web. Forvus, Beyond 20/20's partner is the UK, is developing the core analysis pages of the Web site to store all data tables.
