Vista 2.2 – Great new features!
Building on Vista’s extensive analytical and data visualization capabilities, release 2.2 adds the following features:
Dundas Charting - Vista 2.2 features a new charting package and increased flexibility for publishers. Charting types include:
- Pie / 3D pie
- Bar / 3D bar / Stacked bar
- Column / 3D column / Stacked column
- Doughnut / 3D doughnut
- Line / Spline
Publishers can choose the default chart type as well as which chart types to make available to end-users. Parameters of all chart types can be configured in supporting files and new “tooltips” give end-user more information about the chart including relevant footnote information. Charts enable drill-down into groups on axis and within chart.
Easily enable (or disable) calculations - Vista offers the following dynamic calculations to the end-user:
- Totals (on any number of dimensions)
- Percentages (on any number of dimensions)
- Time series calculations (year-to-date, standard growth rates and annual average growth rates)
These calculations can be easily enabled or disabled from Vista Manager.
End-user saved reports are optional - Administrators can configure Vista so users must login but are not able to save reports.
Multiple Administrators - Vista 2.2 allows multiple administrators - level accounts to be created.
Optional ability to convert OLAP cubes to IVTs - Now convert your OLAP cubes to IVT files for use with the Beyond 20/20 Browser or WDS. This functionality is introductory and will be optimized in future releases.
Enhanced help - Vista 2.2 features a new easier to use help format that is also context sensitive.
Link to a Vista Report - A Vista report view can now be launched from any website through a link. This functionality allows publishers an option to the Vista reports front-end for launching reports.
Vista is 508 compliant – The technology is accessible to people with disabilities.
