Statistics Canada Licenses the Right to Install Beyond 20/20 Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser on Every Desktop Organization-Wide

Canada's leading and internationally respected statistics agency confirms expanded use and support of Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser

Ottawa, Canada - February 8, 2002 - Beyond 20/20 Inc., a leading developer of data dissemination and knowledge discovery software, announced today that Statistics Canada has acquired a site license for the Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser. The license permits the organization to install and utilize the Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser on every desktop within Statistics Canada.

The decision to license the software comes just before the upcoming release for the Canadian 2001 population census data. With this new license, the Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser will be used internally to view numerous statistics including data from the 2001 Canadian Census, census of agriculture, labour, health, business, justice, regional statistics, housing, family and social and income statistics. The Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser can also be used in conjunction with the Beyond 20/20 Web Data Server, a product which Statistics Canada uses on at least three private Intranet networks.

The Beyond 20/20 Professional Browser, used most often by economists, statisticians, and data analysts who work with survey and census data, provides advanced data-aggregation capabilities and features for tabulating and manipulating microdata. Additionally, Statistics Canada uses the product for its ability to process large files quickly and efficiently, to export data in a variety of formats and to browse Beyond 20/20 cubes that contain up to two billion data points. An easy-to-use tool for non-technical users, it is ideal for desktop use by anyone who needs to filter, manipulate and extract specific information.
