Beyond 20/20 Announces Perspective

Beyond 20/20 is pleased to announce the release of Perspective 4.0, its next-generation analysis and reporting tool for Microsoft's OLAP services.

Perspective boasts improved performance and scalability on the Web, along with full support for both Analysis Services 2005 and Analysis Services 2000. Also integrates the publishing and saving of Microsoft Reporting Services 2005 reports.

Other enhancements in Perspective 4.0 include:

• Scaling
  End-user scaling of measure dimensions offers a better view of data having a wide range of values.
• Advanced Search
  Enhanced searching for reports, notes, and dimension members. Introduces AND, OR, and NOT searching.
• Empty Cell Values
  Administrators decide how to show null values in downloads – as empty cells or as zeros.
• New Tutorials
  Two new tutorials are provided – Charting, and Creating Time Series Sets.
• Report and Cube Changes
  Better survivability of reports when the underlying cube structure changes. Every effort is made to preserve all the old report selections.
• Better Performance
  Extensive use of Visual Studio 2005 and JavaScript results in dramatic performance improvements.
