Canadian Insurance Data to Be Released on June 26, 2003

OTTAWA - June 25, 2003 - Beyond 20/20, the leading provider of data dissemination solutions, and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) will release the annual OSFI data product tomorrow, June 26th.

This year's release will provide data users with access to a wealth of data on insurance companies and fraternal benefit societies. Over 400 tables of data are available to the public. This comprehensive database is compiled from statutory returns filed with the OSFI by the companies and societies it regulates. These include Canadian companies and branches of foreign companies operating in Canada. In addition to the data, users will receive Beyond 20/20's data access tools to analyze, visualize and manipulate the data easily.

As part of a joint venture with OSFI, Beyond 20/20 annually prepares OSFI data for release in its popular CD-ROM software for data dissemination. This is the same software used by such national agencies as Statistics Canada, the U.S. Census Bureau and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics to disseminate data on CD-ROM.
